LYNX CLASS

Welcome to Lynx Class

Lynx Class is a mixed Year 1 and Year 2 class, taught by Mrs Scott with excellent support from Mrs Keen-Haudin and Mrs Dore. Together, we will help the children to get the very best out of their learning.

In Lynx Class we follow a three year rolling programme of learning that enables us to ensure that children do not encounter the same themes twice, whilst ensuring that the knowledge and skills for each subject are taught. The themes used are broad enough for the children’s own interests to be incorporated within them, thus making their learning more personal and relevant.

This Autumn Term our themes are ‘People Who Help Us’ and 'Let Your Light Shine’. 

We have a lovely big, bright classroom but also love to take our learning outside. We have wonderful school grounds, including a maze and a pond, that give us the freedom to be explorers and learn through investigation.
