Puma

Welcome to the Puma Class page!

Puma class is a mixed year 2/3 class taught by Mr Oakley, with excellent support from Mrs Hughes, Mrs Keen-Hauden and Mrs Pinder.  Together, we will help the children to get the very best out of their learning.

Our learning themes this year will be as follows:

Autumn: Stone Age and Iron Age / UK Rivers and Seas / Habitats, Biomes, Plants and Rocks.

Spring: Roman Britain / Materials and Matter

Summer: Anglo Saxons / Humans and Animals

Additionally, this summer we will have a whole school English theme based around traditional tales.

P.E. is taught twice per week on Monday and Thursday. This summer Mr Oakley will teach field and track to prepare for Sports Day and Mr Mason will teach cricket. Please ensure your child has the correct kit for each lesson: shorts and t-shirt for indoor and warm tracksuit trousers, top and trainers for outside.

Home learning will continue to be a combination of home reading, spelling and tables practise, together with theme based projects.

Should you have any questions, please drop in any day after school.

Please do pop back from time to time to take a look at the photos that we will post of the children's fantastic learning.
